4.3/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
A flurry of color and community bursts into life every Sunday at Bac Ha Market. A bustling spectacle of North Vietnamese village culture, the market serves as the weekly meeting place for many ethnic minority groups, including the brightly dressed Flower Hmong, Phi La, and Black Dao peoples. Arrive early for an authentic taste of the market, surrounded by the sounds and smells of chickens, buffalo, and goats being traded amongst the villagers. Try your hand at bartering for some locally made handicrafts, before picking up a bite to eat at one of the many food stalls. • Such a colorful place, where urban people mix with producers all around the town, including the flower hill tribes
  • Life of hill tribe people. Almost every ethnic groups you can name will be here for the Sunday market. Exploding & Colorful. Everyone trades their needs. No one mind your photographic actions (unless you're -too much- offensive). Don't come here on another six days. It's almost like ghost town. Also not recommend to people who expects air-con shopping mall or supermarket. This is market for people, by people.
