  • The work of 1200 tons and 47 meters approx., designed by Manuel de la Fuente, is located in the city of Trujillo, capital of the State of Trujillo, located in the Venezuelan Andes, part of the Cordillera de los Andes that runs South through Andean countries. You can begin to appreciate from the Avenue Cruz Carrillo, that joins the city of Valera and Trujillo. Distance you can see the monument. As the impressive structure, it has stairs linking different levels offering views of different places within the own statue. The steps reach the upper base of the chest and continue with stairs that allow placed in the head and see through their eyes. A symbol for the peace world that is worth the pena visit, but not expected large details in the service. Although their services are sometimes lacking, like an elevator that often doesn't work, signage that only they have been considered in Spanish without integrating the foreign tourists. Access has two options: get in vehicle particular to a parking lot, where will be allowed to continue walking along road to the facilities, which include sales of crafts stands, displays of the historical origins of the building, public baths, and purchase of tickets by category (adults and children). The other option is through the vehicles located in the Parque Los Ilustres; close to the Hotel La Paz later to access you can visit a chapel shaped dome which has a beautiful stained glass window, and the strange acoustics that allows the frame to be inside. Also have green areas couple enjoy, if you're lucky a little mist (depends on the season), relax watching from atop the city of Trujillo, under the gaze of our Lady of peace. If you visit the city of Trujillo, in the same way of it large statues in the world, they are destinations that you must meet.

  • Definitely a "Must see" If you go through this area, even if it is farther away it is worth taking the time to visit this monument, great work of engineering, the unfortunate thing is the fact that people who visit it does not collaborate with the great work that the keepers of the monument, there to take care of and love this type of works that represent us as a country. To visit family, partner or friends is an option that should not be passed. @APasear
