Isla Larga, Puerto Cabello
(4.4/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
The unique geology of Isla Larga attracts many visitors every year. This island off the coast of Carabobo forms part of the surrounding national park, and falls under special administration. The south side boasts white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and mangroves, while the north differs greatly with its rough waves and rocky volcanic surface. The island is also notorious for its shipwrecks, including a German freighter named Sesostris, which sunk in 1940, and an Italian cattle boat that still shows evidence of the wooden cattle stalls. Both popular diving locations, the wrecks have amalgamated with the reefs to form an artificial harbor and foster underwater life. Put Isla Larga at the forefront of your travel plans using our Puerto Cabello tour planner.

  • The truth is the only island that the carabobenos have close and that is quality-assured, keep it in good condition and there are outstanding people that visitors do not leave any litter and keep the island, in addition to being extremely economical compared with cays more distant as the Falcon. If you go as a couple a Friday it is possible to have the island almost for you alone, but as a result of this the boatman cobra a little more but worth it.

  • Good hotel, not to say excellent. I'm not complaining because it is really inexpensive compared to others. The only downside in my stay was that the wifi is only in the lobby and not served; also the water, they placed it for hours, but I don't really know if there they ration water, even so, in the room had problems with cold water, so it was a struggle to bathe with boiling water. Rest, very cute and simple, poolside secluded but beautiful, I'm not complaining of the room in general, very striking for the economic which was, less expected, but did not. The restaurant has very good food, was worth it, easy lunchería, none of the other world. If you are looking for economical lodging, without exaggerated luxury, I recommend it.
