Iglesia de Jaji, Merida
(2.5/5 based on 65 reviews on the web)
At the heart of a restored 20th century, Spanish colonial-style village lies Iglesia de Jaji. The church features a whitewash with light blue accents and modest details. The site serves as town's centerpiece, with much of the surrounding buildings in the same white and blue design and architecture. Painted murals draw the interest of many who visit the church. Masses are still held here, and the church serves as a central meeting point for the townspeople. • I must say that after 16 years without going to Merida had to return to that place that truly I loved from the first visit, and found such is without any modification, its friendly people and its real attraction which is the Church like a jewel is noticed that this graffiti made you a sweetie inside, I felt a peace inside as my friend and I were the only ones in the place , and within minutes I get a funeral cortege to make a mass for a deceased, fact that I call much attention, take your camera the place is worthy of photographing and surrounding areas also, I recommend to buy souvenirs there, since they are much more economical that somewhere else, that's what note in relation to other vistite sites , the authorities should encourage more tourism in that area.

  • If you visit Jají, hopefully you can attend mass at his Church, is the meeting place frequented by families of the village San Miguel de Jají. You can meet lots of nice people place, exchanging conversation and visit the home of some of the very polite and friendly locals.

  • It first that I want to highlight is the beauty natural that there are in the road towards Jají, waterfalls, animals and mountains that delight the view. Upon arrival, you get a small and picturesque village of colonial architecture. Super friendly people, we ate in a small diagonal square restaurant and the food was simple, but delicious. Despite the fact that I loved and must be must-see by going to Merida, I think that they should make you a love of painting and maintenance to make it look more cheerful and beautiful
