(3.9/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Spend a day in the warm waters at Punta Arena Beach. This long and wide beach remains popular because of its secluded nature and lack of crowds. Warm waters that remain calm most days make the beach a nice place for families. Umbrellas and beach chairs are available for rent, and you can bring your own food or grab some local fare at the stands near the water. You'll find a pinguinera on private land near the beach, so wander that way to see penguins resting on rocks. • Unfortunate is the State of this beach which is the icon of the Macanao Peninsula, was to the oblivion of the City Hall surrounded by tons of garbage that is not withdrawn from years ago. Not worth the 1 1/2 hours lasting journey from Porlamar.

  • This beach as the name indicates it is on the tip of the peninsula of Macanao, the crossing is very nice but the only thing that can be seen in abundance is arid mountains, mangroves and dunes... the beach is warm despite the great breeze that at times seems will take the awning... the food is very good and prices more economic than in most central beaches...!

  • It is a beach that are visiting within the route of beaches on the island since it has its charm. It is very good to have a good time, enjoy the waves, wind and its landscapes.
