Relax and explore at Cepe- Choroni, a relatively untouched white sandy beach with crystal clear waters, and hiking trails nearby. Put on your snorkeling gear to see the colorful and accessible reefs close to the shore. Alternatively, check out the trekking opportunities up the nearby mountains, where trails lead to small natural pools of warm water. Regularly running 30-minute boat rides from the main village will get you to the islet. Add Cepe- Choroni and other attractions to your Maracay trip itinerary using our Maracay itinerary maker.

Buscabamos un fin de semana largo con estos destinos incluídos. Asi que el día llego, nos fuimos a Chuao de la mano de un operador turistico, Warairamar. Pero perfectamente puedes llegar por tu cuenta... more »We were looking a long weekend with these destinations included. So the day came, we went to an operator's hand Chuao turistico, Warairamar. But perfectly you can get on your own, we have our adventure and data which we collect along the way. We went from Caracas to Choroni of night, (without handle, a wonder) arriving, we took the boat from the pier of choroni, leaves approximately in Bs. 5000 Choroni-Chuao, just ask because there are no posters with the rates (at least we did not see them). Upon arrival, we got on a truck (all our transfers were in this way), you enjoy it because you feel the fresh from the environment and have better view, though it is small, there are long distances for walking. Many offers there is tourism for everyone, both on the malecon and in the village. We remain in the zone of the Chivera, at Posada San Miguel, very simple, but with air and bathroom private, without many pretensions, they had a few cornetones and let us put music in the evenings. Meals were prepared by "the catira" mari or mary chuao, excellent service, always pending to please the customer. One night walking along the beach, we find that there is a pizzeria, busquenla, fellow group they risked and it was very good, Bs. 12,500 the big Bs 8,500 the through and Bs. 6,500 small (don't point), hut of bamboo, there are a few tables outside, estal front Beach, locals care because you feel pampered. That first day we enjoyed the chuao Beach, it is an extensive Bay, to my taste, the surf is strong; then as at 04:30 we look for our transportation (truck ell) and we went to visit the village, cocoa plantations, and new construction that you can appreciate in the way you are doing, don't forget to walk the streets of the village, talking with people, try the cocoa nutellas that make locals, are a delight, the village is very quiet and I friendly , gives a sense of security, we were in the House of a man who is called Reinaldo who prepare chocolate cakes, nutellas and hand creams, without thinking about it gave us to test their products, happened to her house and we showed as processed cocoa, super friendly, humble people! We recommend them, ask for the chocolates in reinaldo, this in a hallway on one side of the Church. The emblematic, with a nice big square Church, ahhh! also tried cocoa ice cream... a delight to the palate! (there are other flavors also) its people is simple and friendly. The second day had breakfast with mary "the catira" and we went to the Cove of Tuja, very pretty, very close passes a stream of clean water; alredeor there is how fifteen houses and live the residents there, I tell them can camping, just as friendly people, great food. There is a mountain, you can upload it with 'care' and it has a very beautiful view of the Bay. The water is warm, it wasn't cold. You can camp, we were told that at night they light up the beach (didn't see it). We ask the passage of choroní to tuja comes out in Bs. 7500, so they have an idea the hard boat as 20 to 25 min from chuao to tuja, according to wave. Our third day went, had breakfast with mary "the Catira" of Chuao; then we took our truck and left us at the end of the village to start our tour to the waterfall of Chorrerón!, for nature lovers, it is excellent, is not my forte, but I wanted to meet. are two hours walking to get and then the same to return, there are many steps of water, cold, divine, the views are spectacular, really, can disconnect! I suggest not to go on their own, we went with two local guides in addition to the Guide from the tourist operator. Arriving at the fall of Chorrerón, is a spectacle, touristical! It is beautiful, there is no garbage, everything is clean, even throughout the tour we saw nothing garbage, everything is natural, it is a beauty. The people of the village says that it is better that it costs a bit so those coming really enjoy it and care for it, this site is part of the Park Hennry Pittier. Whenever I travel I like to bring me the idea of the hospejae of food and transportation prices, so the empanadas were in 1500, an almiuerzo Bs. 9000 to Bs. 10000. It is important, should be effective, there are very few points of sale, we only saw one, near the malecon; spirit drinks are expensive, I suggest to be well equipped, there are many offers of accommodation for all the nivles. Important, not very good cell signal, in fact works with shooting line CDMA phones. Our experience after the end of the journey is that we came out much better go with the operators tourist that on our own, all was coordinated, and at the end there are sites that alone we had been made very difficult reach. With them we take the most time and were punctual, they have a good resolution cameras to document. Good service. We certainly want to Chuao. Luck, hope can use them our experience to your next adventure in Chuao!
