  • Pass the bustle and heat of the city for a visit to the Botanical Garden of Maracaibo is like arriving at an Oasis, disconnected everything and reconnected with mother nature. A few minutes from the Centre via the airport is a great choice to carry the family one Sunday morning. It is easily accessible, it has solidarity prices, certainly, where there is parking and space to relax while the kids run and play safely. Would that more you can be ordered in these times? I went with a group of co-workers and their families, from babies to grandparents and all, ALL, we spent an incredible tomorrow. On arrival did us a tour of the garden from the hand of the Sr Peter, one of the guides, who, with his experience and love for nature, explained each of the species there live and little by little as the Park has been rescued from neglect. Be amazed with the Baobab and its flower, finally I met the little Prince tree! It is incredible to see to trees ancient, unique species in the world or in danger of extinction to have been cared for and coexist with plants native in complete harmony. Lotus Lake is beautiful, perfect background for photo shoot or simply meditate. If you decide to visit the Park I recommend you go with lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes so they can tour the Park, hats, sunscreen and water to hydrate. The Park has a cafeteria with very few food options, there are decent bathrooms and they rent bikes of various sizes at reasonable prices. We were full equipped with snacks, blankets and cushions for a picnic of film, because the scenery is beautiful, large trees which give shade and grass where you can sit and relax, but eye, is not allowed to hang hammocks! Fun of the more guys this guaranteed, they can run amok and a play area is "the castillito" where is fun and the most large can be trained. The landscape of this park was designed by the famous Brazilian architect Roberto Burle Marx and has several areas including an Orchid Garden in recuperancion. It is a jewel of design that we have to take care of, at the end of your ride, llenense of good energy and natural, please pick up all the trash and do not leave traces of their stay in the place.

  • It is a different option. It is in overhaul, so there are things that are not finished. But it is pretty cool, nice, and is a different distraction in Maracaibo. The downside is that it is not very marked and, unless the day I went, there were no guides that tell you nothing. So you have to be checking the internet to see what it is you are seeing... paradoxical, because the idea of the place is removed. I hope that they continue to improve.

  • A beautiful site unknown to the majority of the people of Maracaibo, and it keeps great secrets of nature, and that many should enjoy, a few kilometers from the city of Maracaibo, is a site that I recommend and which is in the process of recovery and improvement for the enjoyment of everyone.
