  • The House has been remodeled several times. It has an excellent location in the historical case of the city, just next to the Government Palace and opposite the Central Bank of Venezuela. The place is very nice and especially for schools, offer guided tours. I recommend it!

  • The House of the capitulation is beautiful inside and out. Few historical places in my country have this level of excellence in terms of the maintenance of the same. Attended us a guide, an educated girl with a very positive attitude, unfortunately I do not remember his name. That history, facts, management made us super enjoyable travel, achievement that we would like to know more... good for her! Definitely, if you like this type of places, don't go to this. By the way, this House has an aura of mystery, as he told us the Guide, died there a stabbed woman. at the time of the colony... only that the doors/windows close solo... when there are not even wind... coincidence?

Where to stay in Maracaibo

Stay near the town center if you're into colonial architecture and history, but expect to pay a high price for the privilege of sleeping in a prime location. Basic motels offer a decent compromise between price and quality and draw mostly business travelers and tourists passing through Maracaibo on the way to somewhere else. If you wish to stay affordably for a few days, check into a mid-range hotel near one of the metro stations.
