  • It is a historical place where lie the remains of Venezuelan heroes, old church for this purpose, there are mausoleums of heroes and commemoration of soldiers and civilians on the floor plates. They made a new air (the mausoleum) for simon bolivar, a strange place of great dimensions... everyone can have an opinion on the subject, but I think it is excessive.

  • Simply stunning. In this place not only can know of history of Venezuela and the heroes and important characters of Latin American history, but is also ideal to give a kind of architecture since this place and its surroundings combine a great number of architectural styles ranging from colonial to the modernist or postmodern and combine into the building making a very interesting mix. To get to the mausoleum of the Liberator (modern building dating from 2010-2013) must enter through the main door of the ancient Pantheon, built in 1744. In your environment you can get lots of important buildings such as the barracks San Carlos, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Central Bank of Venezuela, the national Bibliotena, the home of the first letters of Simón Rodríguez, among other buildings that you van connecting through Pantheon in direction n-s Boulevard. Among the things that you cannot miss is the changing of the guard takes place every 2 hours in the senotafio of the Liberator or guided tours that are held from Monday to Friday. Once entered the old building can be seen impressive sculptures in white marble, or your floors some of the registration of the important characters in the history of Venezuela under which his remains reside. Various frescos recently restored so as you cornices can be observed in its ceilings and decorations made in gold and silver. At the end of the nave, where were the remains of the liberator, you will find a corridor which leads to the courtyard of the granados and then the entrance to the mausoleum of el Libertador where you can see a remarkable change of scale that can reach him bristle hairs. The style, scale and colors are important elements to take into account in this highly recommended site.
