As soon as you walk inside you stop hearing street noises and you can fully disconnect from the outside world and stress. The food at Hache bistro, the coffee at Kalatos bookshop... Or simply a picnic...  more »

site with a country air in the city. great sense of security, since you get starting with the parquesros serve you well, the perfect Exhibition Hall. send my students to visit it because it was an interesting exhibition and those who had no truck arrived in cart-place taken in the Rómulo gallegos at the height of the Millenium centrocomercial. Well worth attending a Sunday noon or fishing a cinema film Saturdays in the afternoon.

Varied entertainment, nice gardens, food and bathrooms. The bookshop is great. Not easy to get there though

+: Easy to get to, good valet, the coffee and brownies at the entrance are amazing (still haven't taken the rest of the menu), the decoration and cleanness is as good as expected, the book store is full of worthy pieces and the restaurants are pretty good even if they are expensive. Perfect place to hang out for a first date or a casual talk. -: Too many flies due to the still waters, which might seem a little bit dangerous and usually on weekdays is a dead point (this might be a good thing for some)

It's nice looking and it has movies on Saturdays. However, you can't take pictures inside without special permission from management and it's mostly watch only, except for the bookstore, which has nice books and a coffee shop. Not interactive enough to be worth a tourist visit, I think.

Very nice, quiet place where you can relax, have a coffee or even lunch. Art galleries have very interesting exhibits, definitely worth checking out.

Art, nature and amusement combined in one place. A 'must go' for Caracas inhabitants.

Where to stay in Caracas

Safety is the number one priority when choosing an area to stay in Caracas. The city has many no-go zones, although accommodations are typically located in safer areas. Nevertheless, it's worth asking your hotel receptionist for advice before you go out on your own. Caracas offers a range of mid-range and luxury hotels at surprisingly high prices, with few budget hostels available. The areas around Bulevar Sabana Grande and farther east are generally considered the safest options of foreign travelers.
