Pay a visit to the 17th-century Catedral Metropolitana de Caracas to see where Simon Bolivar was baptized and married. The cathedral contains the private chapel of the Bolivar family, which also serves as the final resting place for Simon's wife and parents. A typical colonial structure, this house of worship boasts a tall bell tower with a clock at the top. Inside, 32 columns separate the central nave from two minor naves, while a sculpture of Simon Bolivar sits in the right aisle. • If you're fan of ancient monuments is not here to come. All buildings or are almost modern in this young country. The Cathedral is in the image of architecture in the country: recent. What struck me most surprised is its white paint. The Interior is commonplace. However the place in front is nice but... dangerous. Be on your guard!
