(3.8/5 based on 95+ reviews on the web)
Pay a visit to the 17th-century Catedral Metropolitana de Caracas to see where Simon Bolivar was baptized and married. The cathedral contains the private chapel of the Bolivar family, which also serves as the final resting place for Simon's wife and parents. A typical colonial structure, this house of worship boasts a tall bell tower with a clock at the top. Inside, 32 columns separate the central nave from two minor naves, while a sculpture of Simon Bolivar sits in the right aisle. • The Cathedral has seen much history within it more than faith is a place that gives you some peace of mind, his paintings have the brushstrokes of the great artists of yesterday as Arturo Michelena which I can not finish one of the paintings, are buried the former Cardinals and even a part is aimed at the resting place of the family of the liberator

  • Very good 😊...
  • Cali
  • Grand place. It is often not crowded. It retains its colonial spirit. In it you can see one of the last works of Arturo Michelena, in addition to the crypt of the Bolívar family.
