Where to stay in Tashkent

Tashkent has a range of accommodations, with many good hotels empty during off-season from December through February. Most of the hotels lie scattered around the downtown area, stretching from southwest to northeast, with luxurious ones grouping on the northwest side. Book ahead during the peak months to make sure you get the place you want. A variety of backpackers' lodgings lie around the city's Chorsu bazaar.

  • The building itself is beautiful. The collection is also great but could be more interesting with an excursion. Although they do have a couple of guides they don't make more than two tours in a row, so we had to explore on our own.
  • 10000soms for foreigners, extra fees for photography. The 4th floor was closed. Has a lack of English descriptions. But many artifacts compared to the size of museum, although the exhibiting time is very short.
  • One of the best museum in Central Asia
  • A good Museum, interesting exhibits. 4 floor was closed for refurbishment. Cost of attendance-3 000 soums.
