Explore station to station on Khamid Alimdjan, one of most ornate underground transit systems in the world. Built in 1977 in the former Soviet Union, the metro contains three lines--Chilonzor, O'zbekiston, and Yunusobod--divided into 29 architecturally themed stations, and carries a daily average of 162,000 passengers. Examine the artistic decorations and interior designs of each station, usually made of marble, granite, metal engraving, and carved alabaster. Security officials legally prohibit taking pictures, since the metro system installations belong to the military.   • Been met photo shoot before the visit was lifted in the Tashkent subway photography from 6/2018, but is really good! Wall design is different in each station, this is the feeling of one art. In the passage from home pictures, impressive enough. Metro itself is quite old and noisy rattle, as a means of transportation is cheap and very useful. Didn't know the better was ticked someone one has at the entrance of the underground people such as policemen, baggage check, and then through other people even bother, so this check is worthwhile.

  • Affordability, ease of use, speed and cleanliness; the best way to get around Tashkent, excluding taxis. By purchasing the coin for less than fifteen cents to speakers present at each station, it is simple enough to extricate the three subway lines town thanks to a rather intuitive signage. Trains are frequent and alternate between old and new modern carriages clattering carriages. Everything is clean and well maintained. At each station police staff, polite and gracefully (at least with us was so), control who comes and goes. Only drawback, perhaps, the long distances between stops, so that is a bit of a trek to reach some areas of the city. Particularly curious is the construction and furnishing of the stations, all different from each other, and in some cases solved creatively and with a certain taste.
