4.1/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web
Indulge in spices, jewelry, handicrafts, and homemade bread, all sold under the large ornate turquoise dome of Chorsu Bazaar, a traditional covered farmers' market in the center of old Tashkent. Concentric circles of various stands offer a variety of daily necessities in this bustling bazaar. Browse leather jackets and souvenirs, sample dried fruit and nuts, and mingle with families doing their daily shopping. Historically, this has been one of the busiest markets in Central Asia, and the shopping area spills into the area surrounding the dome. You can also shop for ceramics, national costumes, and tubeteika caps.
