Charvak Reservoir, Tashkent

4.3
#2 of 8 in Parks in Uzbekistan
An artificial lake nestled in the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range, Charvak Reservoir offers a range of activites, from hikes and picnics to more adventurous options. The reservoir resulted from the 1970 damming on the Chirchiq River. Today, it remains a popular hangout spot and weekend getaway for locals, with guesthouses and campsites along the scenic shore, a couple of sandy beaches, and a picturesque view of snow-capped peaks in the background. Have a barbecue along the water, explore the numerous surrounding hiking trails, or try your hand at boating, paragliding, or a number of other recreational activities. The lake's clear, placid waters are usually very chilly, but if you want, you can go for a swim. In summer, this is our salvation from the sweltering heat. Can on Earth there are places more scenic, but best of all for me, Charvak ... It is particularly beautiful at night. Lying on the beach and ljubueshsja the sky, stars, mountains, which in the dark seem like giants. And moon, such distant and cold, as many goosebumps. And the water is warm, as fresh milk. This is it-my little sea ...
