Water Body
An artificial lake nestled in the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range, Charvak Reservoir offers a range of activites, from hikes and picnics to more adventurous options. The reservoir resulted from the 1970 damming on the Chirchiq River. Today, it remains a popular hangout spot and weekend getaway for locals, with guesthouses and campsites along the scenic shore, a couple of sandy beaches, and a picturesque view of snow-capped peaks in the background. Have a barbecue along the water, explore the numerous surrounding hiking trails, or try your hand at boating, paragliding, or a number of other recreational activities. The lake's clear, placid waters are usually very chilly, but if you want, you can go for a swim. • Great place for a quick departure from Tashkent. The road would take about an hour each way. Views of the reservoir are very beautiful. Enjoy the most positive impressions. Next find the legendary restaurant "Chinaras", where you will be able to consolidate the impressions of nature walks.
