Moschea Bolo-khauz, Bukhara

(4.7/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Admire the 18th-century complex of Moschea Bolo-khauz, a well-preserved mosque that features one of the few remaining "khauz," or reservoir ponds, in Bukhara. The still-active mosque stands on a spacious square, its colonnaded gallery reflected in the still waters of the reservoir. Admire the vibrantly decorated wooden porch, adorned with vividly painted columns and intricate tile-work, and step inside to view the simple interior. Remember to dress modestly. • When Emir mosque served as a festive-Friday Mosque. Located directly opposite the entrance to the jemirskuju residence-Ark fortress. Inside cute Interior, but not especially interesting for those who have seen a lot of mosques. The current mosque, entrance free, photographing for a donation. We were greeted by very friendly servant ready to tell about the mosque and answer questions. Next to the mosque is House-octagonal pond with banks of stairs descending to the water, and a small minaret.

  • The façade is definitely the most impressive part of this mosque with high wooden colonnade and the ornate ceiling of the entrance porch. Really impressive the moment of prayer in front of the tub.

  • One of the most unique buildings, perhaps the most elegant acting mosque. Her columns stored in ancient textures, you can look at the clock.
