  • Chashma Ayub or "The fountain of Job" is one of the inevitable visits of Bukhara. An architectural ensemble nice, earthy, light colors, simplicity and harmony, built in the 12th century, at the time of the dynasty of the Kharakanid and Amir Temur. It refers to the place where the Saints left their mark, its passage through this world in a sense, but more specifically to the legend that tells that the Holy Job passed through this place with his staff hit the ground and there did well a water well. Therefore, this Sanctuary is a centre of pilgrimage, devotees, many visitors. This spring water has remained safe and clean up to our days. It highlights the beautiful conical dome of desert color, characteristic of the Khorezm region. Currently, the building houses the Museum's exhibition of carpets and water.
