Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum is located near the Samani Mausoleum, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Its name means Job's well, due to the legend in which Job (Ayub) visited this place and made a well by striking the ground with his staff. The water of this well is still pure and is considered healing. The current building was constructed during the reign of Timur and features a Khwarazm-style conical dome uncommon in Bukhara.

  • West of the Ark fortress, further west of the borohaus Temple. After a day exploring the former went to the Chashma Ayub mausoleum. Job in the Old Testament is Chashma Ayub, the fountain, there is a spring on the inside. Building brick made as it was. Shine in the sky blue, not yellow or ocher, blue also.

  • According to some, this is not a true mausoleum, but a qadamdjoy (site visited by a holy person). The oldest part of this multi-domed building was probably built in the 12th century.
