  • Throughout the year is a beautiful ride. Also a good place to buy fresh fish and seafood. Find where the fish is cleaned and you will see sea lions and seagulls fighting for their lunch. Very cute to go with children.

  • What little was seen, is that it is quite tidy and clean compared to other ports.

  • The port of Punta del Este is a nice place to visit at any time. There are many places to eat or drink. All are very cute. The sea from here is more beautiful still.

  • Sunset spot. Fresh fish market.Sea lions protected and feeded by the local fisherman. Fishing boats, sailing boats and nice evening fotos in general.
  • Great place for walking. Beautiful water views. Nice downtown shopping areas and restaurants. Maybe rent a bike while you are there
  • Free wifi, kind of slow though and very windy
  • Un lugar con vistas fantásticas! Beautiful views abound. You'll find small shops selling fresh caught fish, trinkets, and the like along the port. You'll see sea lions begging for fish. If you wait until sunrise or sunset, you'll see a real treat!
  • Nice place to buy fish and see the Sea Wolfs

Where to stay in Punta del Este

A major vacation destination, Punta del Este boasts a wide range of accommodation options, though most establishments remain relatively expensive even during the off-season. Summer marks the peak of tourism (December to March), and during that time even mid-range hotels charge top rates. Visitors with deeper pockets can choose from a number of three- and four-star hotels within walking distance of good beaches. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider one of the hostels scattered throughout Punta del Este's residential neighborhoods.
