  • I think it's busiest (number of people) that the playa mansa, but has few people surfing. The waves are pretty cool, but you need to keep an eye on children. The beach safe.

  • This beach was right next to the hotel that we stay and the hotel itself provided Chair and beach umbrella. The water is cold, but you can get a bronze, walking and playing with children.

Where to stay in Punta del Este

A major vacation destination, Punta del Este boasts a wide range of accommodation options, though most establishments remain relatively expensive even during the off-season. Summer marks the peak of tourism (December to March), and during that time even mid-range hotels charge top rates. Visitors with deeper pockets can choose from a number of three- and four-star hotels within walking distance of good beaches. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider one of the hostels scattered throughout Punta del Este's residential neighborhoods.
