Where to stay in Punta del Este

A major vacation destination, Punta del Este boasts a wide range of accommodation options, though most establishments remain relatively expensive even during the off-season. Summer marks the peak of tourism (December to March), and during that time even mid-range hotels charge top rates.   • Playa Brava is where the monument "Las Manos" is located. So after visiting the monument, go and check this beach. The water is quite cold (I visited on March) but there's a lot of space on the sand. ...  more »
  • If you like wind, this beach is for you. Great for sunrise, cool, with nice sand to enjoy. walk across the streets to Playa Mansa if you prefer a more peaceful spot.  more »
