Los Dedos de Punta del Este, Punta del Este

(3.9/5 based on 6,000+ reviews on the web)
Many people interpret Los Dedos de Punta del Este as either a hand of a zombie god come to take his vengeance on a sinful Earth, or the grasping fingers of a buried giant. In fact, neither assumption is correct. Created by Chilean artist Mario Irrazabal in 1982, the beach sculpture has since become an iconic attraction in Punta del Este. Take an artistic photo of the sculpture and imagine all the mythical creatures it might represent. Put Los Dedos de Punta del Este into our Punta del Este vacation trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Worth a nice photo! The night turns blue and so worth pictures of day and night. It also has some people who take aerial photo with use of a drone at a cost of $10.

  • Nothing special, but is the image that requires the typical picture. This sculpture (made by a Chilean) is located opposite the bus terminal, on Brava beach.

  • A place to take a picture nothing more could have a walkway because it was shoes to enter in the sand

  • This is the heart of punta del este with iconic "Manos" or the hand sculpture at beach. Very posh location
  • Impressive Sculpture of a Hand emerging from the Sand. It is actually a Right Hand. The sculptor created a Left hand in Chile, so both hands together are said to be holding South America between them.
  • It is located on a beautiful beach. That's all.
  • Nice beach. Ask for what it means!
  • Nice sculpture. Worth visiting it if you are a tourist. Very clean and nice, even though lot of people spray it. The County makes a very good job on cleaning it and painting it every time.
