Stroll through 192 hectares (470 acres) of parkland at Arboretum Lussich, a scenic area offering numerous walking routes and information about local plant life. Donated to the state in 1979, the arboretum features an array of native and exotic plant life, with roughly 400 foreign species, and 70 from Uruguay, in a collection that includes cypresses, pines, junipers, and eucalyptuses. Find an array of charming manmade features dotted around the forest reserve, such as a small observatory offering places to sit and views of the wooded landscape.   • @$30 cab ride, so combine your trip up and back with the beach, a concert, seeing the plants, and down by the beach a nice early dinner, that is early by the standards of the natives, they eat late so...  more »
  • It was relaxing and quiet place to go walking in the nature. Beautiful trees and amazing lookout spots. We did not see many animals, just some birds. I would recommend to but good hiking shoes on.  more »

  • Spectacular views. Ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. There are viewpoints to stop on the way for beautiful pictures. It is worth visiting it. It has a museum. Free entrance.

  • It is beautiful to walk through the Arboretum trails enjoying the scenery. The trails you can go bike also. It is a highly recommended excursion.

  • The arboretum is quite careless, anyway Lussich and the mirador casa is interesting. For a cool day is a good choice if are in Punta del Este.
