  • The bodega is located 30 minutes from Punta del Leste, by ruta 12. There is a gate with the name of the winery, but the main entrance is not that way. About 100 m before this gate (who comes from Punta del Leste) there is another entry with the name El Penon. That's the way you should go. This can make some who gets to make the visit. The place is beautiful, the attention of the owner (Alvaro), as well as the explanations you gave us about wine and winemaking have surpassed any expectations. We were a group of 6 people, which made the visit to be more fruitful and we could talk a lot about wines, way to consume them, differences between them, anyway, a "custom". We then enjoyed, without haste, various kinds of wine; all wonderful, with cheese and crackers. A delight. We were more than 2:30 over there. We walked out with a few bottles that we will be happy to drink with friends. Prices surprised us. We thought it would be a lot more expensive as happened in other wineries we visited in Uruguay.

  • Know well the style of ride before schedule. Located at 30 km from Punta del Este, this bodega is more rustic and less beautiful than the competitors Viña Eden and Hills Garzon, therefore, cheaper. Offers wine tasting and snacks. I advise reviewing the tour in advance.

  • Mrs Paula received us, anticipating a little our visit because we arrived early (we calculate the wrong time). Easy access, with the hint of through the correct gate (warned when we called to mark the visit). Was very helpful and available, demonstrating much knowledge and dominion over the entire process of wine production. Good wine, good talk, calling beautiful! Is very worthwhile! Wines with great price.

Where to stay in Punta del Este

A major vacation destination, Punta del Este boasts a wide range of accommodation options, though most establishments remain relatively expensive even during the off-season. Summer marks the peak of tourism (December to March), and during that time even mid-range hotels charge top rates. Visitors with deeper pockets can choose from a number of three- and four-star hotels within walking distance of good beaches. If you're traveling on a tight budget, consider one of the hostels scattered throughout Punta del Este's residential neighborhoods.
