  • We went to eat at DEI VILA. It is a place where they make pasta. The quality is good and the affordable price. Recommended. The ride is generally nice. The structure of place this fine recycled. There are shops of fruits and vegetables and places that sell delikatensen which are very interesting.

  • I went there expecting more, okay? It's a market that also meet several restaurants (here's a little more variety of food in between), liquor stores, agricultural and fish products. It's very nice, very clean and tidy, but when lunch is tense. You need to check immediately table because there are few and finish fast. There's even a self-service inside (but I didn't think it was worth it), is a good place for lunch if you're already by those sides of town watching the Legislative Palace and the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Carmen. • Don't be fooled by the name, as it is an agricultural common market with shops, supermarket, pharmacy and some restaurants. Different port market, this market is very clean and the stores and especially the restaurants have enough room for you to make your meal quietly without bothering with the neighbor. The structure was restored years ago and today the market offers good accommodations, parking, bathrooms clean and polite attendants.

  • cute market with nice up to date stores inside.
  • One of the more metropolitan shops and markets we found. A couple of nice eateries and coffee shops too. Hardware, housewares, meat, produce, and even hydroponics!
  • Really nice architecture, really tasty paella at frescomar

Where to stay in Montevideo

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.
