  • The neighborhood of Pocitos, along with Punta Carretas, are the most sophisticated of Montevideo. There are there large shopping malls, street trade, good restaurants and bustling nightlife.

  • I was staying in the neighborhood and really enjoyed it. There are many residential buildings, houses with beautiful facades, hotels, trade well varied as restaurants, bars and cafés and depending on where you stay, you will have the Rambla close to walking.

  • Curiosity is more relevant for the side story of the name given to the place where count due to the easy access to the River would women there wash clothes, forming several "pocitos" in the place where they were. It's a quiet beach with a very beautiful view.
