  • The Plaza de Los 33 Orientales is one of the most ancient and mythical places open in the city. Popularly known as "Plaza de los Bomberos" owes its name to the centennial of the building Fire Brigade, located in front of the square. Represents one of the "green sites" most popular in the city, as it is in the midst of the streets Magallanes, mines, Cologne and 18 de Julio Avenue, in the Cordon. In the area are several major sights and attractions: the monument to Juan Antonio Lavalleja, Centennial Fire Department, Firefighter Memorial Building and 19 June, as well as the statue of Albert Einstein.

  • Also called the square of firefighters since front it is the building of the Centennial fire headquarters that is beautiful.

  • Not a big deal. Is an option for those who are already walking down the Center. Is one of the first squares of the 18 de Julio. Beautiful, has a fountain surrounded and a statue of Lavalleja, various banks to sit, but could be better cared for. It has free wi-fi.
