Plaza de la Armada, Montevideo
Categories: Outdoor Activities
Enjoy views of the South Atlantic Ocean and the nearby city as you stroll through Plaza de la Armada. Plenty of grass, trees, flowerbeds, and walking areas make up the square, which closely resembles a park. Find a bronze sculpture by Spanish artist Eduardo Diaz Yepes, located at the top of a hill and depicting the hands of a man clinging to a shapeless mass, representing the bitter moment of death. Head downhill toward the water to stroll along the promenade, or sit down at the local eatery and grab a bite while you take in a waterfront view.
