Is the kilometre zero of the national roads. The column of peace (opened in 1867, with the name of statue of Peace) is also in the same Cagancha square. It is a bronze female figure wielding a sword in his right hand and on the left a flag, which sits on top of a marble column. It was the first public monument of Montevideo.
