  • The Park is beautiful, great and deserves to be known to the people who have time to walk around town. However, during the day, the night fair tents are on the sidewalk, it's somewhat complicated walk around because the space is restricted. Still, the place is nice.

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.
