Parque Rodó is an example of the great European influence in twentieth-century Uruguay. Varied species of trees for this purpose were brought, it has a beautiful artificial lake, Sun and shade, trills of birds, playground for children and adults of different types. Sundays there is organic food fair and fair of clothing and some crafts.

A place that has many natural attractions and entertainment. It lends itself to any recreational activity. The proximity of a park's recreational attractions, diverse restaurants as well as different options of power as well as a coastal Beach gives you greatest attraction and recreation value. The Lake which is located inside has recently recovered.

The Park is big, has beautiful gardens and yields great photos. It also has paddle boat rides, a small amusement park (great for who's going with kids) and, as we were on Sunday still had several groups with different activities, where we enjoy ourselves enough. There were dance groups in which we were able to interact and learn some dances; music groups; juggling and circus performers; a lot of people playing with children and animals. Anyway, great place to visit, relax, have a snack and enjoy a little local culture. It's worth it.

Where to stay in Montevideo

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.
