  • The Park is a complex formed by the playground of entertainments for children and green area, which has a part that has recently been reformed. From the Ciudad Vieja, is it possible to go hiking, but the ideal is to rent a bike to get there. For those coming from Punta Carretas or Pocitos, recommend the same. One of the main points of interest.

  • This is one of those attractions for those who like to feel the pulse of the people living in the city; to feel a place and not a stranger. The Park is best visited at dusk on Sunday, when the Uruguayans gather to drink mate (take your too!) and see the beach and the wonderful sunset at sea. The place is huge and in the spring the trees are green and the grass very well trimmed. It's worth it!

  • Park shot on Av. Gonzalo Ramirez. Sunday morning to see the uruguayes see the people touring the park with the mate and the thermos, children and dogs. Circus artists hanging from the branches of trees or shows with puppets and... getting into alleys formed with tents full of offers: colorful clothes, shoes, hats, handicrafts,.. .and tired... and full of bags, buy hot dogs and burgers in "Don Pancho" cart and then drawn again in the Park reveling in the ham and the panchos hot.

  • Ok
  • Old games, but with maintainance will be at his glory again.

Where to stay in Montevideo

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.
