Where to stay in Montevideo

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.

  • This is a small park. You can go for a walk here if you are closeby and need a walk .This is basically for locals. If you are a tourist be careful.  more »
  • It is a park without many attractions. Good to rest a while and talk. There are some tennis courts next to, but I don't know if it's public. If they are, it's worth a game.

  • It's a traditional Park in Montevideo. With a fair that, with time, it has been parked. On Sunday, especially winter it seems somewhat desolate. The Administration could improve its interventions, because it is a great place which today lacks attractions, for anyone who does not live in your environment or go to Biguá. It has infinite unexploited possibilities.
