  • Muy interesante
  • The Museum pedagogical José Pedro Varela of the Republic East of the Uruguay, was founded on January 25, 1889 by don Alberto Gómez Ruano, reminiscent of the pedagogical Museum of Paris who was only 10 years of created. The collection of the Museum, which became model in America has slowly, by catalogue, by Exchange, through archaeological excavations that the own Ruano Gómez, were increasing. The primary role that the pedagogical Museum in its first stage was to serve as laboratory for future teachers who were studying in the Normal girls, occupying the top floor of the building. The training of teachers was one of the premises of valerian reform, so the Inspector of public instruction of the time, don Jacobo. A. Varela - brother of the reformer - supported and widely collaborated in the creation of the pedagogical Museum, presenting the latest developments in the field of education. This educational work, call to last over time, as all great works had the official approval of the Government of the time, being President of the Republic Lieutenant General maximum Tajes and Secretary of State Dr. Martín Berinduague.
