  • Beautiful big house, wondered what it would be like to live there in its heyday. Houses the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum and has several works of this painter and other Latin American painters. There is an important historic fabric in place: the trial of Los 33 Orientales. Free entrance, employees could be more interested, the place was empty, all gathered in the area of headwear to talk and no one came to us to say something of the Museum. In the back there is a Japanese garden, but for some reason wasn't open for visitation. Worth it if you can coordinate the visit with the Japanese garden.

  • Although a bit far from the Center, it's easy to go back and forth. In fact, the Moovit app works very well in the city. The Museum is large and has the beautiful Japanese garden. A variety of works of art and styles, in addition to the beauty of the House and of the external area.

  • The Museum is an old House of Montevideo and Blanes paints are included. To the side is the rose garden and the Japanese garden.
