  • If you like tiles this collection will make you well satisfied. With examples from various parts of the world [but with a higher concentration of French] you have various shapes, colors and different designs in a huge mosaic composed for each window of each one of the rooms. Interesting that there are references to several of them, even today, can be seen around town. It is likely that you recognise them! Have a small space for the kids draw, there's a lot of story to be read and worth a lot of the "camp" to choose your Favorites. It never hurts to repeat this is more a free attraction of the city. And if you animate can follow to corner and visit the Museo del Automovil.

  • One of the most important museums of the world by a variety of designs, eras and origins of tiles. Organized on 4 levels, with good organization, clear information and very good officers willing to complement it. It is worth for tourists and local visitors.

Where to stay in Montevideo

Montevideo's central neighborhoods offer plenty of hostels for budget-minded travelers, as well as a good selection of mid-range hotels for visitors looking for a bit more space and privacy. Luxury rooms are harder to come by, especially if you arrive without a reservation. If you want to indulge your every desire, your best bet is the waterfront area, where you can find four- and five-star hotels offering all the modern amenities you need, including complimentary bicycles and car rental services.
