  • The Museum is a little away from conventional tourist spots, but nothing a uber, which works very well in the city, does not work. The collection is modest, but the matter perfectly the idea which was the dictatorship in Uruguay. Like all memory Museum of dictatorship, is a political class needed in order to understand the horrors sponsored by the military governments of the southern cone in the 60, 70 and 80.

  • If you get a taxi in Montevideo, which should be merit of very lucky people, and try to meet this museum make sure it is open. An employee from another site indicated the Museum as essential, I called and confirmed that would be open. Once there, it was closed. I asked the wrong information and the employee said that the Director decided to not open that day. A mess.

  • Situated in a beautiful farmhouse of a 19th-century dictator, the Museum invites us to immerse in the process of erosion of democracy and the consequent rise of authoritarianism, in the decades of 1960 and 1970.

  • It's very exciting to be there. The Museum is very well kept and very full of information. Guided tours make the trip more interesting and so green space surrounding it contrasts with feeling so grey that let you inside. Although it is very light and airy, the stories speak for themselves... A museum which should be visited.
