  • The Mercado Del Puerto is one of the most famous tourist spots of Montevideo. The market is surrounded by many shops of handicraft products, clothes, souvenirs and etc. There's even music players and artists who do caricatures. The market itself, on your inside, has a pub of Patagonia, souvenir shops and many restaurants, where the main character is the famous Uruguayan parillas. The restaurants are practically at the same level, being about 2 more sophisticated and the prices also vary little. In short, the tour is looking at many shops, take a chop or wine and finish with a good barbecue,

  • A very interesting place with a number of restaurants cooking lots of meat. Smells great, costs a lot. The empanada place has great selection and very cheap prices.
  • Very nice place to eat local food, and especially parillas. A lot of souvenir shops are located next to the market.
  • Beautiful place, delicious Uruguayan food.
  • The food at most restaurants is great. A bit too pricey though. Also what's with charging for the silverware!
  • Full of many parrillas, this is a great place to experience the feel of the Montevideo meat culture.
