  • Not worth much the penalty the building in itself. but is in the Center and has a lift panoramic that climbs up to the floor 12 from where is can see all the city in 360 °

  • The building is located on AV. 18 de Julio with Ejido, easy access by bus, about 10 blocks from the Plaza Independencia, more or less, and some interesting attractions and free. The first of these is a replica of the statue of David by Michelangelo, just in front of the building, which is worth some pictures. Then you can go up (on weekends) until the gazebo that sits on the terrace, from where you have an excellent 360° views of the city. The terrace offers benches for rest, and also signs indicating the buildings and most important points of interest of the city-helps guide the tourists, and has a little of the history of these buildings and Montevideo. On the ground floor, is the Museum of history of art, with originals and replicas of pre-Columbian art, prehistoric, Egyptian, Persian, Greco-Roman, African, among others, that's well worth the visit. Finally, there's a coffee shop on the way out of the Museum, to complete the ride. Great for a Sunday, in which the city is less crowded and the shops close.

  • The quartermaster building has a very nice lookout at which to enjoy the view of the entire city. On the day we went was closed for maintenance of elevators, but a very nice Uruguayan allowed we had access to the terrace.

  • Palace of the Intendencia Municipal de Montevideo (IMM) address: Avenida 18 de Julio and Ejido. In the ample space that precedes the Municipal Palace, the so-called Esplanade of the municipality, is a sculpture replica of the Michelangelo's David (formerly located in Rivera and Jackson). -Atrium. Temporary exhibitions are held frequently in its Atrium. -Mirador. It is recommended to climb to the vantage point, with the external elevator. From 22 of the building floor enjoying a wonderful view of the city, framed by the bahia-puerto and the Río de la Plata. -Museum of art history (MUHAR) entry by Ejido 1326, basement of the municipality. -Museum of pre-Columbian and Colonial entry by Ejido 1326, second basement of the municipality.

  • Emblematic building in the Centre

  • Very good building, to be very good should improve care. Much time is wasted to make a transaction

  • As structure is very striking addition to practically unique in Uruguay since not there are many buildings of great size made based mampuestos. Inside this coming less, maintenance is minimal and the offices places are badly exploited. Of the work that is done in better not comment...
