  • From the historical point of view, it is the most relevant. There is the national pantheon where lie many former Presidents and many of the most important politicians, writers, painters and artists. The majority of the patrician families, prominent professional and prosperous merchants of the Uruguay of the 19TH and 20TH centuries is there.

  • Ancient cemetery, with a staff of 1800 and little buried. Worth knowing by sculptures, military names and all the back story. Has a sinister black cat who lives there. We went in the morning and was deserted. It's not scary.

  • It is not a place that would recommend anyone to visit, it is a cemetery with many sculptures and marble buildings that are very old but does not to walk.

  • One of the old cemeteries in the city. It houses the National Pantheon and tombs of relevant historical personalities. It is detacable by funerary sculpture that has.

  • Very good examples of national statuary. Unfortunately the maintenance conditions are not the best

  • A place interesting, loaded with history and with a great architectural value. It continues to be a cemetery, but it is a place worth a visit, if only to see the resting place of a multitude of important figures for the history of the country.
