  • It is a place where you can meet more than Monevideo, I went twice once was a visit which was called under torchlight. It was a tour to learn about places and stories of the colonial Montevideo. Not to be missed

  • Yesterday I went to the tour that made this cultural space of "The fortifications under the torches", at night. Before he went to which is made during the day which is called cube to cube. Any of them are highly recommended, to learn how it was our city on the stage of the colony, since since we take us we have been losing almost everything were the fortifications of the colonial era in Montevideo. The tour shows we still have, what has been found, allows you to rebuild all of that which was, and helps us to reassess our heritage. Very recommended!

  • As a Uruguayan citizen, it was very interesting to learn more about the old town and its beginnings. Our guide was entertaining and very well informed. Both I liked the tour that temrine buying a book on the history of Montevideo city. Day Saturday have tours of various parts of the old town, where you can see sections of the old wall that was part of the fortification of the city in colonial times.

  • Section of wall. Remains of a section of the escarpment between the battery of San Pascual and el Portón de San Pedro, are visible on the grounds of Bartolomé Mitre n ° 1464 (Cultural space at the foot of the wall).

  • From the feature well made by journalist of the program "Without borders", VTV, assume the need to visit this great undertaking, showing our city, from its birth. It is notorious that lack appropriate dissemination. Congratulations on the sample.
