Parque Salto del Penitente, Minas

(4.2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Trek through Parque Salto del Penitente, a park that surrounds the 60 m (196 ft) waterfall. Enjoy the fresh air as you climb to the lookout point and view the narrow, rushing cascade. The trek is short but steep, so bring suitable footwear and don't forget a bathing suit for swimming in the waterfall's natural pool. Try horseback riding provided by the park's management; or for the more adventurous the park offers ziplining and rappelling. The restaurant overlooking the waterfall serves up a couple of tasty meal options. Take a look at our Minas vacation builder to schedule your visit to Parque Salto del Penitente and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Very good place to visit! A mixture of tourism adventure (rappelling, Zipline, climbing, ect.) and contact with nature. Ideal for couples or family. The attention of those who are excellent! Preferred!

  • To some 120 km from Montevideo, mines is a cute ride made still more beautiful by the panorama serrano as little frequent in Uruguay. The jump of the penitent adds one beauty more with its Gorge to be visited and enjoy the typical tranquility of this area.
