  • Mr Orlando is the heir of this mine. It is a great walk, with a modest but passionate speaker who is doing the story found minerals and its exploitation. It is a 20 minute walk at least in mine, so it is not very recommended for claustrophobic.

  • Excellent proposal to do something different. Uruguay are not very common sites as well. The tour is short, but very good, especially if you like geology and history. Recommended. Cost $120 (U$ S 4 approximately) per person.

  • heading to salto de penitente about 9 km before you will find a sign that says gold mines come hand right through a poster of a private school they follow the road always hand right, the road is ground but this good when you reach the place gets you the owner Osvaldo provides you with helmets and start the tour. The mine has more than 150 mt and several tunnels to explore, entrance charge you a $100 pesos, but it worth paying them
