  • Seeing comments from other tourists in this site, I see that my experience was not an isolated case. Having taken note of all requirements (many justified and some) without sense contained in the web site of the place, I decided to embark on the journey of 150 km. to visit the place. Upon arrival had around 6 vehicles of visitors, and about 8 people who were being served by the receptionist in the shade of some trees. There was a cuerdita with a sign saying something like "Wait here to be seen, not pass". 5 metres from the cuerdita, in the sight of the receptionist, there was shade, so I decided to protect me from the blazing sun in the same. 5 or 10 seconds says Lady "there is a little sign that says do not pass", what not very willingly and without saying a word I returned to the sector from standby to Sun Ray, waiting there about 15 or 20 minutes that was our turn. When we were welcomed and finally arrived in the shade, began the interrogation (to better police style): made the request by WhatsApp? Do they brought the water (1,5 lts. per person)? What is the relationship between the concurrent (couple, friends children, etc.)? They came by car? Brand, model, color, license plate. Record data of at least one person in each group (name, address, Tel.) Then examination of bags. We were 2, carry 2.25 lts. water in a bottle and a thermos of 1 litre with water and ice cubes. On a journey of 4-8 hours, the water in the bottle would become hot quickly, we would then use cold water with lukewarm water mixture to have fresh water at all times. Well, that did not appear to Lady appropriate. At this point my patience had already reached its limit, so I opted to retire rather obfuscated place. Absolutely NASTY Lady and the way it treats visitors. If you don't have wood to deal with people, or has no interest in the activity that develops, then that it is not dedicated to that. Apparently it is their modus operandi to discredit others.

  • Unfortunately the attention of Lady clouds beautiful place that is. It is amazing how a person can have the ability to feel like a nuisance, someone who goes to visit a tourist site with the expectation of spending a good time according to his words, 'this place is not touristy, this place is a private field that charges an entry pass, hard to understand, when they have a sign on route for attracting to the tourists that go over the place. We was very badly and very reluctantly. We questioned why we didn't know we had to send a sms before you go. Being that it is obligatory to enter water to take, and they sell it, the first thing we suggested is that we were it to buy the people's side! Incredible, with that need! When we put him with all respect that we considered that we were being badly treated, his response was that she was not there to be nice. Rude mistake to believe that to educate people to respect and take care of nature, one must be authoritative, proud and intimidating. The Ministry of tourism should take cards in the matter, because such places give a very bad image of the Uruguay. It really outraged at a nice place, a bad memory by be treated very properly be us. I do not recommend them.

  • I went a few months ago but I doubt that it has changed. There are certain rules that have to comply Yes or Yes or directly will not let them enter. Website specifies what to bring: worked with socks and thick soled sports shoes (this is very important, my friend was not thick enough sole mushrooms and is nailed him several spikes that there are on the road and they punctured it the foot.) (Nothing serious, but we recommend highly that comply with this step!) and they have to carry "soft drink 1.5lts water per person" throughout the year (including and non-replaceable children per Matt, soft drinks or frozen bottles) eye with this! We saw a family did not let it pass because they wore frozen water bottles! Well, but now to the important part, because they paid the entrance, already checked that they comply with all and start the way, great! It's quite beautiful, protected by trees, it can be quite slippery at times, go with care, but is worthwhile. The road to the top is steep and long but it's easy, go with time, if you can in the morning, because for all us it took us about 5 hours, and that because we went at a steady pace and not rest much. Towards the Canyon of the mirrors is quite short but it is also more difficult, perhaps to this sector if they will go with children should go with enough time to move forward slowly. The experience overall was beautiful, take into account that the goal they will revise that carried all the things that are asked in the page and that can take them half an hour approximately. Anyway that doesn't mean the beauty of the place and how good it feels to get to the top.

  • Great place, once at the top you can see a view of the entire area. Proper footwear is recommended and it is obligatory to carry 1 liter and 1/2 of water. Takes an hour and half to climb on foot, the entrance leaves 100 Uruguayan pesos.

  • Super recommended to... sale $50 entry (is private) you should go with time because it takes time climbing the mountains, have to remember to take bottled water and fruit (are requirements of the place to upload). If there are announcements of storm or rain do not upload! I did and I had to get off in the middle of the road! :( In the Highlands there is another road that leads to the blue wells, I also recommend!
