  • We were two families with children 8 to 12 years. At the entrance we received an interesting explanatory, very pleasant talk about the place. Calculate no less than three hours for the ride's back and forth. It has no great difficulties, but it is a long and steep walk of an hour and a half until the end.

  • It is true. Attention is not good. Who attends... should devote himself to something else. But, go to it important. It is at km 87... going to Punta del Este, by Ruta Interbalnearia. Uruguay has no mountains, but if beautiful mountains. The place is very nice, ideal for one day, a nature walk. And the Canyon of the mirrors contains 8 amazing natural pools. Ideal to go if it rained the previous day. There is more water and gets even cuter. You should call and see if it is open. It is very economical. The phone is. 094 419 891. All mines is recommended. And if you can stay overnight... remember it throughout life.

  • The ride is nice but attention to the entrance is dreadful. Until that one not stumbles upon this lady that greets hikers can cost you to believe me, but I will try with these few lines to explain it. We were on Sunday, 20 Nov, the Sierra de animas them and from the first moment of our arrival we were treated very badly, very reluctantly and also with great pride by Lady. A friend of our cute grupito(eramos 5) "dared" to pass the cuerdita with the sign "Welcome" to advance the payment of 500 pesos to enter. Women reacted to shouts ordering our friend back two metres varcados Nota. Politely the Mr is retired and is came to us that, even were doing the change of shoes, to tell us it happened. Well... after overcoming the barrier of the cuerdita all we realized that lady had a very rare attitude and started with ask us several questions as if we were in an airport with a high risk of terrorist attacks. ((Algunas preguntas que nos hizo: 1) who were 2) than nationality 3) address each and 4 phone) that relations between the members of the Group had! (((5) which marks and what kind of car 6) than color) registration at the end of the interrogation Lady spent reviewing each of our backpack. All is fulfilled with much pride and arrogance. Other tourists, who were stunned just like us, had no water requerida(1.5 litro por persona). 250 ml of water was actually missing them! Or is not met with respect to the rules dictated by it. Pathetic, ridiculous! women not wanted to miss them if they bought not 'his' water. So who very kindly and politely bought a bottle of 'their' water to end the matter. After this show the woman sat at the table and began a story about the ride that lasted approximately you 15 minutes. Story that was a real soliloquy and not had any sense besides useless. At this point we managed to pass all of the annoying and rigorous control to start the ride... (in addition to my that I am a mountaineer I think all tremendmente absurd and against any logic). All us looked and of course sonreiamos by the absurd and the grotesque of the situation we were seeing... See me smile and to see me with a disappointed expression Lady shouted me bring me to it because I was thinking not to let me continue the ride. She said, I had the freedom to decide whether I could or could not pass with my friends... and also I dubbed of "ordinary"! My husband that it had remained silent until then humilmente turned to the woman and told her "that were well the rules but that have attitude of kapo... not to lack" but she interrupted him brutally why did not understand the message. The lady did not know completely the meaning of the word mentioned. But I was also ready to attack us and to express again its power wins. I sincerely believe that it is unacceptable for a person to leave are with these characteristics in charge of receiving visitors. A walk is a walk! Us not chilly child or adolescent boys because she would have been a very bad example for them. I can hardly understand how a woman can be so bitter with life and can pass as much annoyance to others. In short: next week will have the chance of encontratme with the Deputy Minister of tourism of the Uruguay and comment you facts so as described them on Trip Advisor why it is not right that a woman so follow occupying a position that removes splendor and beauty to the nature that surrounds us. Sincerely I do NOT RECOMMEND this tour. Better to do the tour of sugar loaf.. .igualmente cute and at least hikers avoid so much discomfort.

  • Great place, once at the top you can see a view of the entire area. Proper footwear is recommended and it is obligatory to carry 1 liter and 1/2 of water. Takes an hour and half to climb on foot, the entrance leaves 100 Uruguayan pesos.

  • Super recommended to... sale $50 entry (is private) you should go with time because it takes time climbing the mountains, have to remember to take bottled water and fruit (are requirements of the place to upload). If there are announcements of storm or rain do not upload! I did and I had to get off in the middle of the road! :( In the Highlands there is another road that leads to the blue wells, I also recommend!
