(4.3/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Catch a boat across to Isla Gorriti, a secluded island off the shores of Punta del Este. Head to the far side of the island to relax on the quieter of the two pristine beaches, or stay on the near side to enjoy a range of water sports. The island's pine forest offers peaceful, shaded walking routes that traverse the pedestrian-only island. Bring food and enjoy a picnic on one of the many benches dotted around the island. Put Isla Gorriti and other Punta del Este attractions into our Punta del Este trip itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The visit to the island with my family (grandchildren included) I was really fun and interesting. From the trip in the old boat, until the arrival and the dsfrute in its wonderful beaches all was fantastic. Highly recommended.

  • with coconut palms, is across the Bay from Maldonado and possesses 22 hectares (resembles the Isle of Goats, in Balneário Camboriú). In the past (16TH century) was a refuge for pirates and mariners from different regions. There are no traces that guns were used during the Spanish domination. There are tours for tourists spending the day on the island, in high season, sunbathing, shower, etc. One boat every half hour and at 6:00 pm leaves last, returning to Punta del Este. The infrastructure is scarce and expensive prices (are two beaches). The Caras magazine uses the space for your customers vips, socialites and/or famous.
