Ex Frigorífico Anglo, Fray Bentos

(4.6/5 based on 95+ reviews on the web)
Step back in time to the World Heritage-listed Fray Bentos factory, which now houses Ex Frigorífico Anglo. The factory first opened in 1873 and produced canned corned beef for the new brand. Revolutionary in its production of meat sourcing, processing, packing, and dispatching, the factory put the sleepy town on the map for its role as the "world's kitchen," providing food to soldiers during World War I. A guided tour will lead you through the entire production process of the preserved factory. • The old Fridge Anglo was considered patrimony of humanity by UNESCO in 2015. Museo de la Indústria, was transformed by the English at the beginning of the century 8:00 pm a gigantic meat processing complex that, canned, supplied European markets and the armies of the two world wars. Architecture, history, a lot of history, electric energy conservation of food, in addition to the fabulous equipment frozen in time from the beginning of industrialization.
