  • The presence of the lighthouse reminds the maritime character of the port city. The view is beautiful from above, but if you go with children remember that they can not increase under 8 years of age. In spring and autumn it is best to go early in that you have to stand in long lines up.

  • Excellent historical place of the Navy to meet. There are two levels that you can perfectly climb with very little effort. Boys over the age of 8 years (accompanied) can already visit it. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the river. If the tide is low and the air is clean you can see the coast of Buenos Aires.

  • From any angle we take the internal or external photo of Lighthouse, the picture is beautiful. Although many steps, the view is worth it.

  • Hermosa vista desde el Faro, en el verano no es tan lindo subir como ir en otras epocas debido a que hay mucha gente arriba y no podes disfrutar verdaderamente de la vista y sacar fotos.
  • The entrance to the lighthouse costs 25 pesos per person, but it's worth it if you want to enjoy the stunning view of Colonia from the top.
  • Nice view of the town and of Buenos Aires' skyline
  • It offers a wonderful views of this peaceful and quiet town.
  • The lighthouse of Colonia del Sacremento offers incredible views to those who choose to climb it's steps to the top.

Where to stay in Colonia del Sacramento

In contrast to its quaint historical architecture, Colonia del Sacramento offers a range of multi-story, luxury accommodations. Most of these sit near the tip of the city's peninsula, with swimming pools and good beach access. If you want to stay in the old town itself, choose between a range of hostels, inns, and boutique hotels housed in buildings more in keeping with the city's colonial architecture. Make sure to reserve your accommodations in advance, especially if visiting on a weekend or during the busy summer season.
