  • We were several times since we usually do that route. The place is worth. Two hours enough to give a good walk across the mountains, look natural formations and reach the top where there is very good view. I recommend this place and we will continue going. Best regards!

  • The caves of Salamanca are to few kilometers from the city of Aigua, on route 13, specifically in the 188 Km of the route towards Lascano, is reached via a departmental road where a cut about 8 kilometers. They are on a hill, without a complex of caves. They are the Camping Municipal de Salamanca. There is a camping site with good facilities in this park. There is a guide. The entrance to the Park is free. There are several caves that you can visit in the course of the day. If you are silent you may hear some bats. From the campsite is walking a while run climbing the Hill. It is a nice walk which can be accessed from Montevideo or the cities of route 8, entering water and then continuing along the route 13. From Punta del Este and its surroundings by route 39 to water and then route 13. From Rocha and their environments by route 15 and then by the 13.
