(4.8/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Zion's Main Canyon serves as the mighty centerpiece of the Zion National Park. You can explore the 24 km (15 mi) long and 800 m (0.5 mi) deep canyon via one of its seven trails. The Weeping Rock trail is an easy half hour round-trip, making it suitable for the whole family. Experienced hikers might want to try the Angels Landing trail; the four-hour loop features impressive views but is not recommended for those with a fear of heights. The canyon is also home to a number of amenities and attractions, including a visitor center, a human history museum, and lodge. Using our online itinerary creator, Zion National Park attractions like Zion's Main Canyon can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • The main canyon is just breathtaking. Lots of places to stop and just wander around. Lots of trails.shuttle system is great or drive your own car during the winter time.
  • very nice place to climb and make a walk. Great views, beautiful rocks. Breathtaking. You will have lots of fun there
  • Unfortunately, we arrived quite late in the afternoon in the Park, so we had no time for a hike and everything in the shade was. The advantage we could make parking within the Park by car directly on the shuttle. Otherwise, I, if it allows the planning and time, would best already in the morning to visit the Park and make the occasional hike. The landscape is beautiful and is a contrast to the barren desert landscapes, seen here on the road with the Green strip along the river. We have seen a group of deer with fawn on the river by the shuttle out. We went in the afternoon's, but if you can see the dimensions of parking spaces, even in Springdale, then one can guess the crowds here are in common time. A solitary nature is certainly different.
