The hike is fairly challenging, following a maintained path that climbs steep terrain surrounded with major drop offs at various points. Enjoy the sight of Zion Canyon as you climb through the iconic Navajo sandstone that the region is famous for. Continue through Echo Canyon, a deep gorge where you can appreciate more breathtaking views of the sandstone landscape.   • It's kind of a long hike up there, but the view is well worth it. Try to catch the first shuttle bus to beat the crowds so you can have the point to yourself and catch good photography light. 
  • When planning this day trip from Las Vegas, we knew we had only one day to spend exploring the Zion Canyon so we wanted to hike the "grand-daddy" of all hikes in the park- that being Observation Point...  more »
  • the main difficulty of this short walk you will find parking outside the tunnel in the Park, going fairly early in the morning you are sure to find a niche. The walk is easy and takes about an hour there and back but the breathtaking views with which you will be rewarded well worth it!
