  • This is a stunning road with amazing views. Plenty of pulls to stop and soak it all up and snap pics as well as three different trail heads. Not to be missed if you are nearby ... or even if not nearb...  more »
  • We almost missed the Kolab Canyon side of Zion. The entrance is just a few miles (by Utah standards) up the freeway and it is worth the drive. The canyon road is pretty, but even better is the Timber ...  more »
  • Most people don't take the time to drive this road. It is completely different from the part of the park that most people visit. Almost like a different park. Take the time and avoid the crowds.  more »

  • Awesome 5.5 mile drive with multiple lookouts. Conveniently located just off I-15 in southwest Utah. Good for quick 1 hour drive thru, or all day on their many trails.
  • Zions without the horrendous crowds! I found my group completely alone while hiking in a canyon here, a rare thing in Zion National Park. There is also a beautiful steep rock climbing area here called the namaste wall that is worth checking out.
  • The least visited part of Zion. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. That afternoon rustic golden glow is amazing!
  • Great campsites along La Verkin Creek. Try to make it all the way to Bear Trap Canyon waterfall if you can!
  • Very pretty views, especially early or late in the day. Great hiking trails. Not as crowded. Leave your dog at home unless you only plan on driving around. No dogs allowed on any hiking trails. :-(
