  • While not nearly as popular as the main part of Zion, the Kolob section is still pretty cool. There are some short hikes, or some long backpacking hikes that will go all the way across into Zion. Even if you just do the 5 mile drive to the top, it is worth it.
  • Awesome 5.5 mile drive with multiple lookouts. Conveniently located just off I-15 in southwest Utah. Good for quick 1 hour drive thru, or all day on their many trails.
  • Zions without the horrendous crowds! I found my group completely alone while hiking in a canyon here, a rare thing in Zion National Park. There is also a beautiful steep rock climbing area here called the namaste wall that is worth checking out.
  • The least visited part of Zion. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. That afternoon rustic golden glow is amazing!
  • Very pretty views, especially early or late in the day. Great hiking trails. Not as crowded. Leave your dog at home unless you only plan on driving around. No dogs allowed on any hiking trails. :-(
