Hiking Trail
If you're willing to challenge yourself to walk up narrow paths and climb steep ridges at Zion National Park, you can reach Angel's Landing and be rewarded with a majestic view. The trail is considered extremely demanding--especially the final stage. The early part of the hike features plenty of pleasant photo opportunities. As the trail begins to get steeper, any crowds will thin out because most people turn back. Reaching the summit can be dangerous--especially so when wet or icy. It requires scaling some serious heights and using chains anchored in the rocks, so it's not for everyone. This final part of the climb is not intended for children. By using our Zion National Park holiday planner, you can arrange your visit to Angel's Landing and other attractions in Zion National Park.

  • Popular, yes! Strenuous, only up to Angels landing (last 500 ft climb on the spine). Worth doing, of course but if too busy, like one way traffic of people, snack at Scouts landing and continue at lea...  more »
  • You Must! It is worth it! We saw multiple people afraid of heights have trouble with the trail, so just make sure you are good with the height before you head up the exposure!  more »
