Angel's Landing, Zion National Park
(4.9/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
If you're willing to challenge yourself to walk up narrow paths and climb steep ridges at Zion National Park, you can reach Angel's Landing and be rewarded with a majestic view. The trail is considered extremely demanding--especially the final stage. The early part of the hike features plenty of pleasant photo opportunities. As the trail begins to get steeper, any crowds will thin out because most people turn back. Reaching the summit can be dangerous--especially so when wet or icy. It requires scaling some serious heights and using chains anchored in the rocks, so it's not for everyone. This final part of the climb is not intended for children. By using our Zion National Park holiday planner, you can arrange your visit to Angel's Landing and other attractions in Zion National Park.

  • On the advice of a ranger I have made this walk. On the way there, it is above all up. Largely through fine landscaped paths and the last 500 meter over rough stones and stick to chains. People with Vertigo get it here difficult. The first part you have views of the River Valley, then you walk through the afforestation and eventually you go up the mountain on several spots you can see chipmunks. I like to be active and found this walk a fun spending the day in Zion. You should be a little condition and good mobility. Ideal is the bus that drives over the scenic view route. At the visitor centre or the museum you can park your car (did in november just fine) and then brings the free Park coach you to 9 different stops, including Angel Landing. Ideal! There is four hours planned for the walk there and back, but I have something done faster, although I many stop to photograph.
