  • If your kids love animals, this is the spot. So many hands on opportunities with the animals. A decent variety of animals to see. It's free but once you go there you will leave a good donation since they could easily charge and still be one of the best attractions we experienced.
  • We brought my nephew on a week day. We got there a couple minutes before opening and the parking lot was already full. They kindly asked us to park along he street. After that, things were wonderful. Every person ww spoke with was very friendly. We bought hay and fed goats and pigs. My nephew loved the Yucatan pigs playing in the mud!
  • Visited critter barn with sons class today. Mary our guide and teacher was absolutely wonderful . Great learning experience for children and adults. So many animals to pet and learn about. It's a farm smells, poop etc give it that authentic farm experience. I would highly recommend visiting !!!!
  • Nice petting farm. Good charity and helps animals. Kids and families love visiting here. Nice caring owners and staff. Looking forward to new location. Fun family activity. They take donations. Has cats petting pen and goats and more.
  • I like that the Critter Barn volunteers are friendly, and that anyone can come regardless of ability to pay, since they operate on donations. I have been there several times and have often wondered however about the overall safety and cleanliness of the facilities. For example, three porta-potties apparently serve as the permanent restroom facilities for what seemed to be nearly a hundred people there at my last visit (July 2016). A stainless steel trough and liquid soap pumps are provided for hand washing but the hose-style plumbing in that sink is awkward to use. No sign of any diaper-changing station for those with little ones. There are white bird droppings on the wooden fence where the public meets the indoor cows. Parking is limited, so cars often line the busy street in front of the farm. Each time I have visited, I have wondered whether Critter Barn might be subject to more business and/or environmental regulation if they had employees or charged admission. I have recently read that they are planning to move to a new location. I'm hoping that this new location is cleaner, safer, and is demonstrably better managed that the current facility appears to be. Update, Spring 2017: Critter Barn will be moving or has moved according to a local newspaper article several months ago. My review may be stale or irrelevant.
