Enjoy magnificent 360-degree views of Yosemite Valley from Taft Point, a glacier observation point. Take a relatively easy hike to reach the vantage point; the short trek leads through the woods but involves a great deal of elevation change, amounting to 60 m (200 ft). Standing at 2,285 m (7,500 ft), the point offers dramatic vistas of Yosemite Falls and the valley walls. Parking is available 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the point. • While on the way to Glacier Point, stop in here & hike out to Taft Point. The view of El Capitan is amazing. Well worth the drive & hike for the view.
  • We combined the Sentinel Dome hike with Taft Point. What made this view point even more amazing was the insane people who were SLACKLINING - they must be mad!!
