Enjoy magnificent 360-degree views of Yosemite Valley from Taft Point, a glacier observation point. Take a relatively easy hike to reach the vantage point; the short trek leads through the woods but involves a great deal of elevation change, amounting to 60 m (200 ft). Standing at 2,285 m (7,500 ft), the point offers dramatic vistas of Yosemite Falls and the valley walls. Parking is available 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the point. While on the way to Glacier Point, stop in here & hike out to Taft Point. The view of El Capitan is amazing. Well worth the drive & hike for the view.
